I just resigned my lease for my 3rd year here. Reading the reviews is funny because none of my neighbors and I have any of those issues. My neighbors and I are always looking out for each other , making living at Talavera comfortable and safe and if you’re looking to live alone as a woman that is important! It is very safe here out of the 2 years I’ve been here nothing sketchy has happened & there’s never homeless people on the property. The front desk management is amazing and they want nothing what’s best for you. Theyre always positive & have good attitudes. The maintenance is amazing. Maintenance will usually come within 5 minutes of calling the office to report an issue. The new maintenance guys are really really sweet & they always know what their doing & what their talking about & they always inform on how they are fixing your issue every step of the way. I love Talavera it’s quiet and friendly you should check it out despite some bad reviews. I’ve never had a bug problem in my apartment ever I’ve probably had 1 bug last year😂and if you’re worried about that they have pest control that you can ask to come in once a week!! Also love that I have 2 big walk in closets in my 1b1b🫶🏼

I am not a current tenant at Talavera, however I was interested in living at the community. I went in to talk to the management at Talavera about a bad situation with my current landlord at a different property, hoping to move to their property. I was nervous to share what was happening with my current landlord since I was still in a lease because I was afraid I would be perceived as a problematic tenant. The leasing agent at Talavera, Justice Johnson, did not make me feel like that at all. Contrarily, she actually was validating and offered some general advice on the situation and went above and beyond to help me with the process. I have encountered a few people in my housing search that are quite unknowledgeable when it comes to answering questions and she was able to answer them. I unfortunately was denied at Talavera because of my credit and criminal history, which was obviously disappointing for me because I know that I am a good tenant. I do wish they had a little less strict background policy because the quality tenant I am feels completely irrelevant. However, this review might help those that are super worried about what kind of people might be living in their community to know that it is likely safe based on their more strict tenant screening. Obviously, Justice, the agent, can't control that outcome. I just wanted to leave a completely honest review. Her customer service is 10/10.

My husband and I just moved here about a month ago. We had a very pleasant experience with Justise and Killie while sending all of the moving paperwork and stuff. Since moving here our experience has gotten better. Maintenance has come in a timely manner and I still love the girls in the office. I’m glad we moved here and plan on staying here for a long time. 😊 If I could give 10 stars I would!

Kilie was such an amazing help with getting us in and walking us through the whole process! After seeing how nice the property was, there was no doubt we were putting an application in. Best part was, the application was processed in 2 days unlike other apartment companies that we applied to that took 3 weeks and charged us $500 that we never got back... Talavera and its staff are amazing!

We just found Talavera by accident and figured it was such a blessing. The staff are spot on and so nice to us. I am comfortable that my 20 year old daughter lives here and more importantly safe. It has been almost 2 months living here and we have been super happy with the Talavera! Justise helped us move in and she was super kind and friendly. She really went above and beyond helping us get moved in especially with all the issues we were having with the previous complex. Super friendly. In fact all of the staff seems to be super friendly and maintenance is awesome. Any issues have been taken care of right away and they always answer the phone. It has been super refreshing to find a place that feels like home. The complex is beautiful and I love all the flowers/plants that they have all throughout. Definitely glad we found this place!!

I cannot tell you all enough how much I love living here. I've been here for almost 2 years and hoping to make it a 3rd! The complex is quiet, kept up and the maintenance folks are 5-star certified! I really mean that- super nice, quick to respond, attentive and do great work. The front office has gone through some changes quite a bit over the last 2 years and it keeps getting better and better. Pool space, garage (esp in this Phx heat) and washer/dryers in the units are a plus! My only advice is to watch for the extra fees/taxes on top of your base rent. You will end up paying another $150-$200. A handful of the fees are in your lease agreement and there is note of "other fees". I know taxes and fees sometimes can't be helped however, I cannot stress enough how great of a place this is. You won't be disappointed.

I have lived here since 2009. Leasing staff is amazing. I love the size of the apartments as they are bigger than most, and the attached garage for every unit. I lived in the townhome for 9 years, and the 2 bedroom going on 5. Pretty quiet and safe. I'm not happy about the work they did on the kitchen cabinets, but the backsplash, appliances and counters are beautiful. They have since fixed the cabinet issue on new remodels. Rent is really high, and the $135 additional "Community Fees" are way too much in my opinion. They used to be $35 - $60, until AMC and new owner took over. They keep going up every month, but no idea why. They must think they're in CA not AZ- especially since they did this during the pandemic and right after. People are still trying to recover from that. I love the new outside colors, and doors, much prettier than what we had. Maintenance is wonderful, and very responsive. It would be nice if they replaced the screens and single pane windows if they're going to be charging these prices. I know replacing windows would be a HUGE endeavor, but it's really necessary. Either that or at least re-caulk the windows and add new screens , as that would help immensely. They haven't been done since they were built. Overall, I am really happy here, and have been, but I have to be honest as well.

This complex is beautiful and spacious. The apartment’s are very comfortable makes you feel Home. The front desk is very professional and informative. I actually spoke to a resident and he just loves it. He said it’s so quite and the pool is very relaxing. The community is gated and there is trash valet Monday-Friday. WOW. The property is a Mark-Taylor Property. It’s a bit pricey. They do have some units that have their own Garage’s attached which start at $1850 roughly for a 1 Bed Room, 1 bath. But, the square footage is 826. Amazingly Beautiful. If I had the fund’s I would love to live here and I definitely would. The other cool thing is you could schedule a self tour. Come down and see these Beautiful apartment homes. Just stunning! They are close to Walmart and Costco, close to the freeway. Great location.

All these happy little reviews are fake. The management company is a joke; they charge you things not listed on your lease and their auto-pay system experiences issues and delays often. This complex doesn't provide statements, so it can be tricky keeping track of all their new, extra charges. Management is horrendous; the manager is a condescending woman who rather put blame on others and fight with you, than try to help the situation. Maintenance doesn't exist; you can put in piles and piles of requests, and if you're not lucky enough to have them resolved after a few months, you may never see them come by at all. Then if maintenance ever actually shows up, they always do a poor job, making it better to just fix the problem yourself. The residents are disgusting; there is always dog poop everywhere. There's a pest problem; we find our cat playing with a visiting cockroach at least once every couple months. The units look nice, but are falling apart; not very helpful when a maintenance team doesn't exist. Don't move here.

I have been living here with my family since August 2018. The property is lovely and it’s in a prime location for me. We have a second floor two bedroom that’s incredibly roomy and so very lovely. Since our move in we've gone through quite a few apartment managers, all who have been problematic in some of the worse ways. Our new manager, Ciandra, is very different. She really cares about the residents and is going above and beyond to make this property an even better place to live. Recently, she shut down our dog park for a few days because some of the residents weren’t picking up after their pets. It was getting ugly in there. She took the time to have the park sanitized and reopened it with the stipulation for residents to always clean up after their pet. The trash is always taken out and the bags are stocked, now leaving no excuses for not cleaning up after your animal. That park has stayed clean since which means her play worked. She’s incredibly easy to talk to with and is very accommodating. She also has a lot of great ideas for fixing up the property and making it a safer place to live. I’m thankful for Ciandra and I really hope she sticks around for a long time.

Management is constantly changing here. Unless I call the office, which I rarely have time for due to their office hours and my own schedule, I can't get ahold of anyone. The new resident portal that managment switched us over to allows for maintenance requests which, literally, all of mine have gone ignored. Also, you can't see the exact amount due for rent prior to the first of the month, so I calculate it and hope it's right since I prefer to pay early. The grounds are dangerously dark due to poor maintenance of common area lighting. I walk my dog at night so this is of huge concern to me. mMaintenance fails to keep the Bark Park waste can from overflowing. This is also true for other waste cans throughout the property which causes an unpleasant smell. The website falsely advertises this property being in downtown Tempe. The property address on the monthly statement cards carelessly lists the property in Phoenix rather than Tempe. Aside from easy fixes that are constantly ignored, my Estrella unit is pleasant and I enjoy coming home. If you plan to reside here, I suggest making sure your unit has the upgrades you want, don't assume all units are upgraded as pictured.

My roommate and I just recently moved into one of the townhouses here and we absolutely love it! Everything is so beautiful. The counters and cabinets in the kitchens are lovely and have a very refined aesthetic, The arcadia door is huge and we have a beautiful view out of every window. It’s quiet and clean just like we like it! Siena is the lady who helped us with all of our move in needs and holy heck she goes above and beyond all expectations. Nothing but friendly and helpful, not to mention super freakin rad! She deserves multiple enormous raises and bonuses. We love this place so much :)

I've been living here for a while and while the constant management change is bothersome this latest group is trying to clean up the mess the last group left. Siena, in the front office is always pleasant and works with you to find solutions to whatever issues you may have.

Overall it's solid. The biggest knock here is that some units are dated. Otherwise, it's quiet, friendly staff, great maintenance, and a safer area. Being close to the 60 is super convenient, and the surrounding neighborhoods are all quiet residential. Worth taking a look if you're in the market!

I have lived here 2 weeks and all I can say is AWESOME PLACE TO LIVE!!!! Danielle and Danny are awesome. Since we moved in we have a few minor issues and maintenance was here the next day to check it out. Fixed and done! They are on it! Had friends and family over for Easter and they all commented how big the apt was and how nice it was. I am glad we decided to move here. We are comfortable and feel right at home. Thanks Danielle, Danny and maintenance crew!!!

I was very impressed with this property and overall what it had to offer. You are definitely getting your moneys worth here with spacious layouts and modern looks inside and outside of the property. The property is very clean and well kept. You can tell the management team and employees take pride in the overall looks of the property with how well its kept up! Everyone in the office is very nice and respectful. Truly care and are attentive with any concerns or needs. Talavera is definitely a place I would recommend to friends and family!

I'm shocked about the other reviews, I've lived in the complex for more than 3 years and love this place.I don't have a dog so I don't visit the dog park, it's looks nice. We moved to the property because it was owned by a particular company but has changed, had a little issue with #2, but #3 has been great so far. The front pools have always been clean. I've seen the new units without carpet and looks great, my apartment has carpet. It's nice to have your own garage too.

Coming up on my first full year here and will most certainly be renewing my lease. I don't know where all the negativity is coming from with some of these posts. The Leasing team was awesome when we were looking and provided very realistic expectations and were extremely helpful! I have had far fewer issues here, in a place that is over 30 years old, than I ever had at other locations I have lived which were less than 10 years old. The few issues I have had were immediately taken care of by either the leasing/management staff or by our maintenance team! By far, the most friendly and helpful apartment staff all the way around that I have ever dealt with. The new fitness center is state of the art with anything you could want and all of the pool furniture has been replaced with very nice modern furniture. The landscaping is well kept and the place is very quiet. The first apartment complex I have lived in that actually feels like a "home" and not just "an apartment".

I've lived here for a year and just renewed my lease for another year. My rent increase was less than $20, even after taxes! Most places will try to take you to the cleaners to renew. Purely on a dollar-per-square-foot basis the rent is pretty competitive, and that doesn't count the garage you get. Unlike some other reviewers I read my full lease before signing, asked about the common area charges and the front office staff was very helpful in explaining them to me. They've recently installed a dog park, just finished demolishing the front office/fitness room with the intent to redo it bigger and better, so I feel like my money is going somewhere useful. All of my maintenance requests have been taken care of quickly. I've been through three management companies here, and the latest (Alliance) seems committed to staying and improving the place. I have nothing bad to say about them. If I have to say one negative thing about this place, it's that stepping off the sidewalk into a grassy area usually means stepping into dog poop. That's not really different than, say, any park in Tempe though. I'd strongly recommend this place.
